Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Taken with a Lensball, this is refraction photography. Bowling Ball Beach in Mendocino County in Northern California near Point Arena. In refraction photography, the image is turned upside down within whatever you are using, a crystal ball, a lens, a wine glass filled with water or a water drop. Then the image can be flipped how ever you prefer. I like this one with the image from inside the ball right side up and the beach itself, now the backdrop upside down.
Bowling Ball Beach is a very interesting geological wonderland.
I'm an artist & photographer from Northern California, I grew up in the beauty of the Country but never really realized it and appreciated it until I started capturing it through the lens. My favorite type of photography is the long exposure photography, black and white, light trails and light painting. Having an image in my head and figuring out how to make it happen.
